The Buttermilk Jamboree is Southwest Michigan's celebration of traditional and progressive arts with a common vision of social justice, cooperation and sustainability. This truly family-friendly event offers a weekend of activities for people of all ages. Bringing together some of Michigan's finest musicians, along with a few exciting national acts, the 7th annual Buttermilk of 2017 promises another unparalleled experience of music, culture and community.

Positive, committed and dependable volunteers are needed! Please review the job descriptions to decide which position is right for you. Note that there are age limitations in some areas. If you have prior experience volunteering at other festivals, let us know.
After you apply, we will consider your request and notify you within one week. Safety is one of our main concerns at the Buttermilk Jamboree, so background checks (based on your name and birthdate that remain in our secure system) will be required for all volunteers. <b>Volunteers are expected to work at least 2 four-hour shifts,</b> and will be reimbursed for a portion of their ticket price ($30/shift) after successful completion of all shifts. Special circumstances for shifts will be listed in job descriptions. Volunteers are recommended to purchase an Early Bird Ticket ($85 for the weekend) so that three completed shifts will reimburse their entire ticket purchase price, minus the cost of t-shirt. Early Entry (Hours: Thursday 4-8pm, Friday 9-12am) will only be given to ALL volunteers!! Friday Campground Volunteers are strongly encouraged to arrive on Thursday evening for orientation. Volunteers signing up for specific shifts will be contacted individually with more information if needed.
